Immunity
Calves and piglets do not receive any immunoglobulins from the uterus in the womb. Immediately after birth, their immunity is based solely on the supply of colostrum in the first few hours of life. An inadequate supply of colostrum can have further consequences, especially if additional stress is added.
Such situations are particularly common for animals immediately after birth, during rearing, on arrival in a new barn or due to a change of feed. They also often suffer from a lack of vital nutrients, vitamins and trace elements.
In order to ensure safe rearing even under increased pressure and in situations of increased demand, it makes sense to support immunity and resistance through feeding.
