The challenge:

The first few weeks of a calf’s life are crucial for its development, as the foundations for later milk production are laid. This process is known as metabolic programming.

As genomic potential increases, so does the nutrient requirement to convert this potential into live weight. Available energy is the primary limiting factor. Whether the daily increase in fat or muscle mass occurs depends largely on the amount of crude protein available at the same time. In order to obtain sufficient crude protein from the feed, calves need large amounts of protein-rich milk replacer.

BEWI-MILK® AM 5 is a milk replacer with a high crude protein content for the optimal supply of calves with the highest genetic capacity. The innovative product allows intensive feeding without premature saturation, maximising daily intake and thus laying the foundation for optimal growth and high lifetime performance of the growing dairy cow.

Our BEWI-MILK® AM 5 milk replacer has been specially developed for maximum performance in calf rearing.

  • Rearing warm drink with a skimmed milk content of 55 %
  • High crude protein content for an optimal crude protein supply and optimal development of all important organs (including the udder)

Application and dosage:

Dissolve 140 – 160 g milk replacer per liter warm water (max. 45 °C).

In case of intensive rearing and in the winter month use 160 g per liter.
