Digital process chain complements classic feed trade
The feed manufacturer BEWITAL agri relies on Agrando to strengthen digital distribution. With the website-relaunch, a smart web integration goes live: Clicking on the “Agrando Widget” takes farmers from the manufacturer’s website to the Agrando online platform, where they can request BEWITAL agri products directly from regional traders.
This digital trade initiation creates a complete process chain from manufacturer to regional traders to the farmer.
BEWITAL agri integrates the innovative Agrando widget on their new website. From now on, farmers will find an Agrando button on the individual product websites. With just a click they get to the platform, where they can request the products online from regional traders. This cooperation is a milestone for both Agrando and BEWITAL agri: With the widget as an interface, all actors involved in the procurement process are connected.
“Agrando offers a comprehensive platform for agricultural resources and leads the industry with the help of smart processes into the digital age. As a manufacturer who always has the best solutions for his customers in mind, it is only logical to start new distribution channels together with the AgTech pioneer”, says Thomas Rathmer, sales manager at BEWITAL agri.
Suited to the relaunch of its own website, the family-owned company from Münsterland also lists its specialty feed on the digital agricultural trading platform Agrando. “We are really pleased to have such an innovative partner,” explains Philipp Lachner, Sales Manager at Agrando. “BEWITAL agri recognized early on what opportunities digital agricultural trade offers and that every player along the process chain can only benefit.“
Digital agrarcultural trade completes Smart Farming
In agricultural technology, digitalisation has long since arrived as “smart farming”. Now the digital transformation in agricultural trade follows: The Munich-based AgTech company Agrando has set itself the task of digitally mapping all processes in agricultural trade and improving them for all those involved. Agrando has been operating as a neutral online trading platform for agricultural inputs since 2017. Farmers can use the platform to request products from individual or multiple dealers at any time and location, compare offers and centrally document orders. The purchase process takes place in the classic way. Agrando supports dealers in optimising sales by analysing the key trading figures, checking them for market potential and making independent recommendations on the further sales strategy. With Agrando, manufacturers of agricultural inputs receive new market access.
