Age-appropriated feeding regimes are very important aspects in piglet rearing. These should cover not only the animal’s energy but also nutrient requirements. This aspect is vital for meeting the demand for uniform, good growing as well as healthy animals. They can be reared without any problems.

The digestive tract of young piglets is initially adapted to the digestion of fat. But also to milk protein and milk sugar (lactose).

The switch to wheat starch should therefore be done slowly to prevent digestive disorders.
