At the Hinnemann farm, 140 dairy cows are kept along with the corresponding youngstock. The dairy cows have access to a partly newly built free-stall barn with an outdoor loafing area. Three employees manage the farm. In addition, the farm has been using independent advice from the Osnabrück Herdbook Society for several years.
The negative energy balance in the first third of lactation leads to increased mobilisation of body fat. The metabolic products formed in the process put strain on the liver. Natural choline and antioxidants can provide targeted support here, stabilise metabolism, and contribute to consistent milk yield.
In addition to using BEWI®-SPRAY Amino, the cows’ ration is supplemented with BEWI®-SPRAY CX during phases of higher stress due to milk yield and external conditions (e.g. weather, increased risk of BTV infections).

Results: More stable metabolism and improved fertility
- Since using BEWI®-SPRAY CX, the metabolism of the high-yielding cows has improved significantly
- Previous indications of higher strain in individual animals, such as sudden drops in performance, no longer occurred after using BEWI®-SPRAY CX
- Overall, the animals appeared more stable and increased their performance back to the previous level
What our customer says:
Philipp Hinnemann | Dairy farm, Germany
“We are very satisfied with BEWI®-SPRAY CX. It helps us keep metabolism and fertility stable—areas where we used to have recurring problems.”
Conclusion:
The targeted use of BEWI®-SPRAY CX helps stabilise the metabolism, health, and fertility of dairy cows during phases of increased demand. The combination of rumen-protected fat with rapeseed lecithin as an emulsifier, together with antioxidant vitamins, provides holistic support for cows during metabolically challenging phases. Supplemented with pepper (Capsicum annuum) and natural willow bark, the product actively promotes the cows’ health and longevity.
