BOKU-Symposium 2022
The 20th BOKU symposium Animal Nutrition 2022 had the general topic “Bioactive Substances in Animal Nutrition: Functions and Future”. We were again represented with a scientific contribution.
The title of our poster was: “Influence of an encapsulated fatty acid combination and phytogenic additives on certain parameters of lactating sows”.
The current study examined the influence of an encapsulated fatty acid combination and phytogenic additives on certain parameters of the lactating sow.
Because: Only by a specific selection and combination of acids with phytogenic additives such as essential oils and their extracts, synergistic effects can be achieved.
The results of the study in brief:
- Through addition of a matrix-encapsulated combination product base on special fatty acid combination and phytogenic additives (BEWI-FATRIX® SynerG+) in the lactation feed, the suckling piglet losses significantly reduced and the number of weaned piglets per litter increased.
- The use of purely plant-based products in targeted combination of active ingredients can effectively reduce the risk of infections in advance through their use in lactation feed and contribute to a significant reduction in the use of medicines on farms through the resulting synergy effects.
